The Shepherd University Department of Music Student Concerts have grown to an amazing standard of excellence. With recent invitations to Carnegie Hall, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and Giant Stadium's Yamaha Cup, as well as invitations to perform throughout Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, France and England, the university's ensembles have become the pride of the community.

The Friends of Music:

• brings world-class music to Shepherdstown
• supports the educational opportunities for the students at Shepherd and the community through masterclasses
• supports talented students through its scholarship program
• helps Shepherd students be ambassadors by supporting trips to other exciting concert venues around the world.
• purchases musical instruments for the university and for the enjoyment of the community.
• provides faculty support to the music department
• supports the Shepherd University Department of Music through its audience development initiatives.

Membership in the Friends of Music contains many benefits, outlined below. Your gift makes everything we do possible, including supporting the students at Shepherd University. In addition to becoming a member, you can also sponsor a concert or simply buy tickets to individual concerts.
